My life has been filled with beautiful and interesting people, places and experiences. I've been a black jack dealer in Lake Tahoe. Made my own dolls from start to finish, sewing them on a pedal driven sewing machine in a little shop in Florence, Italy. I've worked with a civil trial specialist, a criminal law specialist, and spent 21 years working in the Tort Litigation Division of the Office of the Attorney General of Texas. During those years I also worked as a booking agent for some great bands. And I, too, play a little and sing some and you can hear a few songs I have written on my ReverbNation web site or YouTube. And all the while, throughout all of these life changes and evolutions, photography has been a constant.
All the photos of the cats are "my" cats. All of them have come here seeking refuge, all feral, all needing veterinary care, some more so than others. The pit bull mix is also my rescue puppy, Pink. Besides from the sores all over her and being so starved her head looked square from the bones coming through, she had almost no hair from mange and the meds she was given turned her skin bright pink so upon return, when the vet asked her name , I just said, "Pink"!
The birds in the photos are all from my feeder which has been in place for about 27 years now. Birds come back every winter and I have made huge branch piles nearby for them to dive into in order to protect them when the hawk swoops through. The opossum, raccoons and skunk come in the garage to snack on cat food and occasionally get their pictures taken while hanging out.
